Woodland Park Zoo awards $10,000 annually to jaguar conservation projects, thanks to a generous bequest from a friend of the zoo. Projects which clearly deomonstrate that their objectives for the funding year will lead to positive outcomes for long-term jaguar survival have the best chance of receiving support. We especially seek projects that directly address conservation of jaguars through one or more of the following:
- Habitat protection
- Conservation education
- Community involvement
- Includes collaboration with other partners, including other conservation organizations
