The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County seeks a postdoctoral fellow in systematics and evolution of fishes. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated researcher with a PhD. in organismal biology and evolution, a strong track record in systematic ichthyological research, and a research focus that includes analysis of molecular data. Focus on marine fishes is desirable, but not required. Research plans which include use of the museum's fish collection are also desirable, but not required. This two year position begins August or September 2008.
